Snapshot(57)This afternoon around 1500, Glencoe Fire Department , Gallatin County Fire Department and Gallatin County Sheriff Josh Neale along with Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officer Charlie Phillips were called to hwy 467 east between Glencoe and Folsom for a vehicle that tried to come through the water that was flooding the road.  The driver 50 year old Kenneth Allen Dixon of Cape Coral, FL. had to be rescued from his rental vehicle when he tried to drive through the flooded road.  He had just come from the Lexington airport and was on his way to see family and visit the Belterra Casino and resort.  Rescue workers quickly removed him from his vehicle and use one of the Sheriff’s Departments Trucks to remove the vehicle from the rapidly rising waters.  A few hours later rescue workers had to remove another person from her home when the home she lived in became surrounded by water.  Both victims are doing fine and were uninjured, as of 1950 Eagle Creek is still flooding, so if you are traveling around low lying areas pay close attention, you will be out in the water at night before you realize it.
