After months of negations’ the Gallatin County Judge Executive Kenny McFarland announced that the county would finally get an impact fee from speedway ticket sales, which amounts to around one dollar a ticket sold. This could generate up to as much as $400,000.00 a year. The county is guaranteed a minimum of $230,000.00 a year off the fee, which will take effect starting January 01, 2012. The Judge said the money would go into the general fund to help pay for things the county has need for a while now. This was a major accomplishment for the county because they were unable to get anything in the past from the speedway.
In other business the Sheriff’s budget was approved along with the County Clerks.
