While hanging tobacco this morning outside Warsaw  several tiers  broke sending 3 workers to the hospital with injuries. As Mr. Vic Satchwell, who is still one of the few tobacco producers left in the county and I were talking, the bad thing about this is there is no warning signs when this is going to occur. Every year hundreds of workers’ throughout Kentucky and North Carolina are injured when tiers in the barns break without warning. Usually all you hear is a pop and a whole section comes down on top of the workers and the people in the tiers fall also, along with the tobacco. Mr Satchwell was very concerned about his workers and was on his way to the hospital to check on them.
