Gallatin County Fire and EMS was dispatched to HWY 42  East this morning around 0500, to a single vehicle accident.  With temperatures at the freezing mark and ground temperatures below freezing the roadways became ice covered with the light rain. The driver of the vehicle hit a ice patch aproxamitally a quarter mile  past the Morris residence heading East toward HWY 127.  The driver of the vehicle lost control heading over the embankment, on the river side, where the car was stopped by the pilings that had been driven in the ground to prevent slippage.  The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.
