Warning this is a graphic video.  On 12-31-2010, animal rights groups called us to come to the shelter.  They were upset that pups had been put down.  They said all of there pups was adoptable and the ones that did not get adopted was sent to other shelters to guarantee they would go to homes.  What the animal groups alleged is the pups were put down in retaliation over rumors the county was not going to hire the animal control officer back,  when the new administration took over.  They allegedly  had addresssed similar issues with the  former Judge and nothing was done.  What people need to understand is Gallatin County’s Animal Shelter is not a NO KILL facility.   Judge McFarland will be addressing the Animal Shelter issue at the 01-11-2011 meeting.
