At around 3:45pm 911 dispatch received a call that a man over-turned on a lawn mower and was down an embankment on Elliston-Napoleon Road off of HWY 16. Dispatch was told that the lawn mower was on fire and the man was not breathing. A former EMT was on the scene and started rescue efforts. A medical helicopter was called in but then canceled. Some people who were also on scene pulled the man away from the fire but they believed him to have already died. EMS arrived on scene at 4:01 pm. The coroner from Grant County was called in. The name of the man has not yet been released. We will post new information as it becomes available.
