Hargis you stated to get the tax increase :take your tax accessment and multiply by 2.5 that was incorrect the new rate would be .0025. A big difference $250.00 down to $25.00. I let that slide but to say that Sonya voted for the tax increase last year when she was in the hospital undergoing major surgery, you didn’t even check. Joe Brown sent out cards incorrectly stating the tax rates, he used last years for surrounding counties and used this year for gallatin and this year was even wrong I don’t know who checks the facts for you but someone is doing a poor job. When do we start worring about the students.

I am looking at the script I wrote I did mis-speak,  when I was giving the numbers. So let me first start by Apologizing for mis speaking my numbers. So here let me break it down this way. With the new tax rate if your home is valued at $150,000.00 here is how your taxes break down.

                                                                                          Rate per $100
-State Real Estate                                                                 0.1220                                    183.00
-County Real Estate           0.0890 (that includes the county 1/10 percent cut) 133.50
(Without the 1/10 percent it would have been  0.0900 135.00,So the Judge saved you $2.50 on his tax cut)
-Health Real Estate                                                               0.0550                              82.50
-extension Real                                                                      0.052.                                78.00
-Library Real                                                                          0.1110                               166.50
-Soil Cons                                                                                 0.0090                               13.50
                                                                                                                                  TOTAL 657.00
                                                                                                              TOTAL TAX BILL 1,653.00

So once again let me APOLOGIZE for my mis quote, I had it wrote down correctly, I mis spoke when I said it.  THANKS
